New Book
Since I finished The Stone Monkey I haven't started a new book, yet. I should have a new book coming from Zooba.com this week. If you haven't checked out Zooba.com, I would recommend it. The books cost $9.95 each and that includes postage. You have to buy at least one a month and are only obligated to buy a book for three months. They offer newly released books along with older books and have a wide variety of subject matter.
The Stone Monkey
I throughly enjoyed this Lincoln Rhyme mystery by Jeffery Deaver. Most people remember the movie The Bone Collector staring Denzel Washington as Lincoln Rhyme, the handicap detective. I don't know how many of Deaver's books use the same character, but the ones I have read have been great.
S is for Silence
Sue Grafton continues with the character Kinsey Millhone, crime solver. Another excellent book in this series. I think I have read all the books starting with A is for Alibi and always anxiously watch for the next one.
The Cat who had 60 Whiskers
The newest book in the cat series by Lilian Jackson Braun was a complete disappointment. It is hard to believe it was written by Ms Braun. There was no plot, what little mystery was in the book was never solved. The book just stopped.
I wished I had noticed that other readers has given the book only one star on Zooba.com.

The Devil Wears Prada
Well, I didn't make much progress on the book, Christ the King. I found the names difficult to keep straight and overall the storyline wasn't what I had expected. I have loaned the book to my sister, but I will probably give it another try later.
I saw the movie, The Devil Wears Prada, with friends and famiy recently. We really enjoyed the movie and since Ann had the book at home, I began to read it. I found the book enjoyable and hard to put down. It was an easy reading book, but I think I liked the storyline of the movie a bit better than the book.
I recently checked out from the Cabot Library, Twelve Sharp by Janet Evnovich. That will be next book to read.
