Ann gave me two fiction books for Christmas that I have finished reading. Both involve knitting! I enjoyed reading both books. The Friday Night Knitting Club had a surprising ending, but was a very well written, interest story. Died in the Wool was a light reading mystery.
I really enjoyed the Jan Karon "Mitford" series. Now she has started a "Father Tim" series. Home to Holly Springs is the first in this series. A truly "hard to put down" book that leaves you wanting more. I'm ready for the next installment about Father Tim.
My Zooba book selection for June has arrived and already been read!
It is the third in a collection of books written by Debbie Macomber about the happenings around a knitting shop. This book was an easy read, but had enough drama to keep you wanting to find out what was going to happen in the next chapter. It was a wonderful book to read and even had happy endings for everyone.
I haven't been reading much lately. I received a pattern book and yarn for a sweater I wanted to knit for my daughter that is in college. So all my free time has been spent knitting on the sweater. I took the Gabalon book back to the library. I started reading it and couldn't get into it. It probably needed more concentration than I was able to give. Outside of my study of Hebrews, I like to read mostly light fiction that I don't have to "think" much in order to read.
